I signed in to Turbo tax for the first time this year and am unable to opt out of "Assisted". Does anyone know how to get back to "Basic"?

If this is a USA return, I assume you are referring to TurboTax Live.   Are you trying to choose regular Free Edition, Deluxe, Premium?   If so, here's how to remove the Live feature and select a different edition.  If it started you in Live, you can use the "Clear and start over" method shown in a link at this FAQ:
