I purchased 2022 Deluxe-can I upgrade to premium? I haven’t used the license code yet, so worst case I think I can return it.

If you purchased the TurboTax software to install on a personal computer the TurboTax desktop editions all have the same federal forms, schedules and worksheets so there is no need to upgrade from Deluxe to Premier.  The only difference in the editions is that you get more help and guidance with the higher editions.

If you want to upgrade you can do so after installing the Deluxe edition.  Just click on Upgrade on the bottom right of the desktop program screen.

And don't confuse the Desktop CD/Download program with Turbo Tax Online versions.   In the Online versions you will have to upgrade to a higher version to enter certain kinds of income.  In the Desktop program you can stay in Deluxe.  All the Desktop programs have the same forms. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions. 

So be careful and don't get into the Online web version.   I see people all the time that have bought the CD/Download Desktop Software but then somehow ended up using the Online version and didn't know it.  You can't apply the Desktop purchase to the Online version.
