I paid by tax due with card online but return was rejected for AGI - now it's not recognizing previous payment!

My return was rejected for my AGI which is CORRECT - so I re-typed and tried to file again and turbo tax says I MUST pay my entire tax due again!!! HELP!

Nothing was sent to the IRS when you tried to e-file and it was rejected.   You will not be paying twice.  When the return was rejected the IRS did not get anything from you.

If you paid the federal taxes owed online at the IRS payment website, the change your payment method in the File section of TurboTax to pay with mailing a check.  Complete and e-file the tax return and just do not mail a check.

If the IRS is rejecting your 2021 e-filed tax return for the correct 2020 AGI then enter a 0 (zero) for the 2020 AGI and e-file the 2021 tax return again.
