I paid $43.70 for the Online Deluxe Preparation tax year 2017 but I am an additional $40 short on my Refund. Where did extra $40 go? I need a break-down of those fees.

Did you request to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from the federal tax refund?  If so, there was a $39.99 service charge for that optional service as shown on the web pages in the program when requesting that option.

Did you opt to pay that Deluxe fee with your federal refund? If so, there is a charge for that service which was stated in the agreement you had to read and sign before filing. 

You can use these steps to check your fees to see a breakdown:

Log in and click Tax Home to the left and scroll down to Your tax returns & documents section
Click Add a state there to get back in the return
Then select Tax Tools on the left side of the screen and then Tools
A Tools Center box will pop up on your screen with four blue boxes
Select the My Fees box on the right.

It appears when I filed my state form with my federal form I was charged an additional $39.99 to do so.  TurboTax, shame on you.  You have a lot of nerve charging $80 for 2 forms for income less than $1500.  Shame!
