If you mailed the federal tax return or used another tax service you will also have to print and mail the state return.  You can only efile state if the federal was first efiled and Accepted from the same account.  So you will have to pay the Turbo Tax fees for state to print and mail.   Did you use Turbo Tax to prepare and mail the federal return?

You will use the same TurboTax file you used to file your federal return, if applicable.  If you didn't use TurboTax for your federal return, you can create an account and enter everything for your federal return then add your state return.  The state return must use print and mail.  The state return cannot be e-filed without a federal e-file.

If the federal tax return was not e-filed then the state tax return can only be printed and mailed.
