Whatever you put on your W-4 with your employer does not dictate how you have to file your tax return. It just tells your employer how much you want withheld for taxes from your paycheck,. When you file your return, file accurately according to your actual filing status. But by the way, do not try to file using a pay stub. Wait for you r W-2.
