I'm ready to file, but the program is adding an item for $40 that I won't use. How can I eliminate that item?

I checked if I could pay with my refund. It turned out it wasn't enough so I didn't qualify. So now I'm trying to pay and it is adding $40 to my ticket. How can I delete that item?
