I’m not sure why my refund is only $190?! Help! I made $23,062 & deductions 13,850 & taxable income is $9212 & I paid $1082 in taxes and it says I paid 117% of my taxes?

I filed as single with no dependents. I had a lot of taxes taken out of my weekly paychecks & if I made 23k I don’t understand how I’m getting back less than 200$ & it says my withholdings covered 117% of my taxes?? It says I’m only paying taxes on $9212 as well. Please help?!

Well the tax on 9212 for Single is $923.   You paid in 1,082 - 923 gives a 159 refund.  Plus you probably had some credits like the EIC earned income credit.  See the tax tables
