I lost about $10,000 to a cryptocurrency romance scam. It was online in my account when they changed the name & password. Total loss. Does this need reporting?

I lost about $10,000 to a cryptocurrency romance scam. It was online in my account when they changed the name & password. Total loss. Does this need reporting?

Report to the police but there is no tax relief and no tax reporting required.
