This should help: How do I import my 1099s?
Though I appreciate your response... However....that is exactly how I did it. I used the IMPORT feature in Turbotax.
I've deleted the imported information. I'll try again tomorrow....just in case Intuit or Edward Jones fixes whatever is broken. Worse case... I'll hand enter all the information.
Try closing TurboTax, clear your Cache and Cookies, and reopen TurboTax. Also, make sure you have ran all updates. You can also try a different browser.
If that doesn't work, call TurboTax Customer service. Here is a link: Turbo Tax Customer Service
OMG..... I thought it was me.... then I read on the community posts that the same thing has been happening to schwab and etrade since at least 2001!!!!!!!
Fix your program to be able to discern covered vs noncovered and long term vs short term. This might be my last year with TT.
March 2026
I've had to deal with omissions in forms 1099-R and the Consolidated form from Edward Jones for the last three years using TurboTax Deluxe. It's gotten worse every year. I've done everything the tech support people suggested, and the problem not only still exists but is getting worse every year. It would be nice if TurboTax were to put more effort into fixing the problem instead of adding sales pitches in their software to upgrade. I had to correct over 300 entries this year! It's become such a headache that I may have to try another tax program next year. I've been using TurboTax for over 20 years so I'm fairly knowledgeable in using it, but this is ridiculous!
