I would like to believe you that TurboTax 2019 supports Windows 7. But on Amazon all the versions of the downloadable Premium product say it is only for Windows 10 and 8. I will keep looking, but they also say the purchase is non-refundable/ non returnable. Not very confidence-inspiring.
Here are 3 Turbo Tax Help articles saying you can install 2019 on Windows 7. Amazon is behind the times and hasn't updated their website.
Windows System Requirements says you can install on Windows 7

I also tried to download TT for my 2019 taxes. I could pay for it and the file went into my downloads folder, but then nothing. It will not complete the activation on W7. I had to fill out a form for a refund and find another way to file my taxes. In the time I spent doing all this, I could have just filed with a paper copy.
Yes, Turbo Tax and many other applications require a later operating system because Microsoft will not support Windows 7 any longer. Time to upgrade the operating system..
A bit late, but thank you!
RJS, thank you for your full info and correction.

You are welcome!
I had no problem running Turbotax 2019 on Windows 7; except that when i try to e-file, I get a message to verify the routing/account numbers. they are right; but for some reason the system doe not recognize them.
if you have solved this problem please let me know
What about 2021? Will TT work with Win7 in 2022 or do I have to change software?
If the latter, what do you recommend? I cannot pay $250 for a new pc just to keep tt.
Sorry, I was really asking about filing 2020 taxes in 2021.

You won't be able to use TurboTax 2020 with Windows 7. f you want to keep using Windows 7 after 2019, consider TurboTax Online
If I use TurboTax Online, will it handle qualified dividends and capital loss carry-forward?
FWIW, the IRS bounced my 2019 return because it did not recognized qualified dividends, it said that TT had computed my tax incorrectly and they want another $660!
I think that's a horrible mistake - not being able to run in Windows 7 after 2020!!!!
I have several computers running Windows 7, and I am not in a position to update to Windows 10, nor do I want to. I haven't had a problem is Windows 7 ever, and Windows 10 is problematic - especially every time it automatically updates. I definitely will not update, and using TurboTax online version is against my lifelong aversion to putting my financial and personal information anywhere but on my own hard drive.
I predict Intuit is going to take a major hit in revenue because of this. I, for one, will switch to another program after 15 years of TurboTax. Bye Bye.
Have Turbo Tax Deluxe Installed. Have all the updates for 2019. When I get to the part of entering SS and Pension Plan Income.............it just stops and restarts over and over again. Isn't their a software troubleshooting program available by Turbo Tax? I am using Windows 7 Professional and everything worked fine up to that point. Now what do I do?
Desktop crashing on Windows 7 says Solved with steps or you can sign up.
