TurboTax handles the most common IRS tax forms for individual (personal) tax filers.
Because few taxpayers need the following IRS forms, TurboTax doesn't include:
I need to file 8886 form with my return BUT form 8886 which is not part of Turbo tax forms. Can I still Efile my return using Turbo tax AND mail the filled 8886 separately through USPS? Please advice. Thanks for the help.
I have the same question. I need to file Form 6765 (not included in Turbotax). Can I file my return electronically through Turbotax and then mail in my Form 6765? Or am I not allowed to file electronically if my return includes an IRS form that is not included in Turbotax?
Has anyone determined how to handle the filing of form 8886 using turbotax?
Form 8886 is not supported in TurboTax. For more information, please see Which IRS forms are not included in TurboTax?
Thanks for responding. Does this mean after being a loyal TurboTax user for decades, that I can no longer use it? Or is there a way I can still use TurboTax and attach [a separately prepared by me] form 8886 to the filing?
@ral0 You can still use TurboTax to prepare your return. However, if you need to file the 8886 form, you will need to print and mail your return along with the 8886 form.
How do I print and mail my return in TurboTax Online?
Thanks Ashley,
So you are saying that it is okay to efile without the form 8886 attached, as long as I post office mail in a copy. This is related to a non-cash charitable donation of land for more than $5,000. So I will also need to mail in the appraisal form, correct?
@ral0 No, you will need to mail your tax return (which is showing a benefit from the charitable donation), along with Form 8886 and the appraisal form.

MarilynG1 -- Thank you for clarifying.
The other thing I want to know is about the charitable contribution cap. This specific transaction allows the charitable donation deduction up to 50% of Taxable Income. Does TurboTax allow up to 50%?
@ral0 The basic rule is that your contributions to qualified public charities, colleges and religious groups can't exceed 60 percent of your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) (100% of AGI in 2020 for qualified charities). The caps are a bit lower for gifts to other types of nonprofits.
