I have the free version. If I click confirm payment does it automatically file? I dont want to file electronically. I just want to print the document and mail it.

Your tax return is not e-filed until you ---- and only you---click a big orange button that says "Transmit my returns now." If you do not click that button, your return is not e-filed.

If you really have the free version, you will not confirm payment. Confirm payment does not file. Do not pay if it is free.
