The five e-file limit is an IRS limit. Buying another CD/download will not let you e-file more returns. You wasted your money. You can seek a refund. If you have more than five returns to file, the rest have to be filed by mail.
To request a refund from TT ; https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/forms/refund-request.jsp
Have the same issue, I have always purchased two copies of turbo tax and needed to file 6 returns, this year it will not allow me, I would normally file the 5 returns on my desktop and the other on my notbook and was never a issue. This year something changed. Are they tracking IP address this year for the 5 returns? I guess I will request a refund from the 2nd copy I purchased.

Turbotax has added some additional verification this year, but we ultimately don't know how the 5 e-file limit is enforced, by the IRS, Turbotax or both. It is definitely part of the IRS regulations so if you were able to work around it in the past, that was a lucky break.
