I have a 1099-NEC instead of a 1099-Misc for my consulting independent job. Is it the same?

The 1099-NEC replaced the use of "Box 7" for 1099-MISC independent contractors for tax year 2020. So yes, it is essentially the same as what you are used to receiving for your consulting work.
