It's not quite as easy as just having someone live with you. There are qualifications.
You may be able to file as head of household if you meet all the following requirements.
For the purposes of the Head of Household filing status, a qualifying person is a child, parent, or relative who meets certain conditions, listed below.
The conditions are stricter than those for claiming a dependent; for example, you might be able to claim a roommate as your dependent, but never as a qualifying person for Head of Household status.
A qualifying child would be:
A child that is too old to qualify as a child might be able to qualify as a relative for Head of Household.
A qualifying relative would be:
Maybe you can....but we do not know enough about your brother. How old was he at the end of 2022? How much income did he have in 2022? Was he a full-time student in 2022?

If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.
Simpler answer: the person who lives with you must be both related and your dependent to qualify you for Head of Household.
There are a couple of exceptions, by neither apply in your case.
