I got an email saying my state return had been rejected so I click to "fix it" but on my turbotax it says it is "pending", what is the truth?, what are the next steps?

My federal has been accepted (according to turbotax) but about 3 hours after it was accepted I got a notification that it was rejected as well. Turbotax home screen still says Federal was "accepted". This is confusing. I called the state revenue dep and they say they have not received the return yet. So now I am wondering where the disconnect is. Is my state ACTUALLY rejected or truly pending? Is my Federal ACTUALLY accepted or is it rejected? HELP!

You can check that your return was received by the taxing authority  using these instructions: Check the Electronic Postmark of your Return. Pay close attention to the separate lines for Federal and State. They are separate statuses.
