I entered w2 instead of 1099. how do I change it?

You go back to the W-2 entry section...

..........enter that section and look for the trash can next-to, or under that W-2 form

(You might need to click on some text indicating something like "Show all income items" such that the full menu shows up....that really depends on how far you already are into the entry process.

How did you enter it in the W2 section? A 1099 looks totally different than a W2. What kind of 1099? There are over a dozen kinds of 1099. 1099R, 1099NEC, 1099Misc, 1099G, etc? Is this for 2025? It is too early to have received a 1099 or W2 from your employer. What are you trying to enter?
