I entered the only and very correct AGI number but was rejected - wrong amount. Can you help?

What must I change if my taxes were sent back, rejected due to wrong AGI, but I definitely entered correct numbers.

If it was rejected for AGI—-be aware that many 2020 returns took so long for the IRS to process that your 2020 AGI might not be in the IRS system.   Try using zero instead.

If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year.  The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.

If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.

you try AGI = 0

you try "I didn't file last year " and AGI = 0

you try you self-selected PIN from last year if you have one.

Otherwise, you will have to file a paper return via US Mail.

What?

Why doesn't everybody just do it that way?

I cannot help.  I also have the same problem.  I checked my 2020 AGI return; This number was incorporated by TTax 2021; On my IRS.GOV account, I looked at my 2020 'transcript' and the 2020 AGI was the same. I am also at a loss.

addendum: Thanks to some of the other responses.  I used AGI = 0.00 and resubmitted.  and ... Turbotax sent  Your federal tax return was accepted by the IRS.

Hurrah
