I appreciate your response, but this is about TurboTax download, not online. My question is in the wrong place but I can't even begin to figure out how to get it in the right place or how to ask it in the right place. I don't even know why this started a question, even though that is what I wanted to do. I really need TurboTax technical support. If anybody knows how I can talk to an actual person but in technical support that would be really great. And thank you again for your response.

I have this problem with 2022 tax year (have used TurboTax desktop for MANY years and never encountered this. TurboTax support told me I needed more RAM, even though I had the system requirement of 4 GB. So I updated to 16 MB of RAM and unsurprisingly, still get the same error. Did you ever find a solution?

Did that multiple times. Each attempt completes the process and says it installed, but once TurboTax opens, the log shows updates as “None” and every attempt in the log has “Failed”.

Following also. My TurboTax2022 suddenly shows the same error message while trying to download updates.
Tried to manually install latest updates (today 2/19/23) to no avail. Unable to get past update page to work on my taxes. Any more info appreciated.
For today ... you can disconnect from the internet so the urge to update will be stopped for now. However before you can efile the program will have to be updated. You may need to uninstall the program then reinstall it.
thankyou for the reply Critter3, i disconnected my internet, and tried to open Turbo Tax, it didnt work unfortunately. Still wants to download updates etc. Will try to uninstall/reinstall the program today. Any more ideas appreciated. PS update. I cant even UNINSTALL turbo tax .. When i try to uninstall, Windows Installer error message states " Install servor not responding", gives you option to retry/cancel. Retrying gets same message after numerous attempts. Totally frustrated at this point, unable to open Turbo Tax to work on it even though i was over half way through it this past week. Will try turbo tax helpline (phone) again this week.
