The IP pin is only used on your federal return.
There is no reference to the IP pin on the California return.
What about the state of VA? It's under the section entitled "Additional Filing Info". However, where do you enter it within Turbo Tax?

We can use either of us STATE PIN code.
According to this Virginia state webpage, you only need to use one PIN on a joint tax return, even if you and your spouse were both issued a PIN. Either PIN is acceptable.
If they issued you a PIN and you lost it or you didn't receive a new one in the mail, you can call their customer services at 804.367.8031.
I just went in the turbo tax trying to find the state of Virginia identity theft pin area and it is not showing up only gives me for the IRS pin. I have had to go through this before of taking all paperwork to the office in Virginia to finish filing my taxes please make it easier to find or see on the page for other situation area
