I bought turbo tax from Amazon. I have followed directions to install but it won't work. How do I install so it works?

Directions say it will ask for an activation code but it doesn't ever get that far.  When I click on the download icon.  It opens a window that says drag turbo tax here (to applications folder)  Then when I click on it, it doesn't do anything.

Did you buy the desktop software for Mac?    See these installation instructions:

Drag it to the applications folder in the popup (the virtual drive window)--don't drag it to the Applications folder already on your computer.

Trying to install my turbo tax on my mac.  I am not getting any virtual drive display on my computer as the online instruction says. The pop up says to move Turbo tax log into App. This is the only choice I have. I bought the Premier and on the box it says for Windows and Mac.  What am I doing wrong? I do have the required software Catalina 10.15. Been at my desk for almost 2 hours and nothing is working; very frustrating.

Are you install from the CD or the download?  Did you download the Mac program?  Or is it the .exe Windows install file?

To install on Mac.  I bought the CD from Costco and don't have a CD drive on the Mac.  Was able to download it.  It went very smooth. When you see the download on the screen to download, first click on the blue Copy Code link to the left.  Then after you install it and need to activate you can do Command + V to paste the code into the box.
