I am very concerned about how much I had to pay turbotax.. $106 seems very high .. I paid $80 last year .. please explain?

I paid $106 to you turbotax ..last year I paid $80.  Throughout filing turbotax is constantly advertising additional services which I do not need.. maybe I bought one by mistake ... I did itemize but other than that my taxes are basic...turbo charged $59 for federal and $39 for state (sc) ... doesn't this seem too expensive?

Due to IRS adding new changes within the Schedules, there are now situations in which an upgrade may be needed. Because of this, it is possible that you may have added on a form or schedule that required an upgrade or an extra charge.

Please see the following link for tax situations covered in TurboTax Free Edition.

If you have not yet filed your tax return, to see what you are being charged for please follow the instructions in this link https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/4202093

Then proceed to follow the directions in this link  to remove all unwanted add ons.    https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3301994

If you have already filed your tax return, open the File section and then proceed to the Review Your Order screen to see a breakdown of your charges.

There is an additional charge for state taxes with all of the upgrades, except Free Edition.

Also, if you elect to pay your TurboTax fees with your refund, there is a fee for that as well.
