I am stuck on the question, "Did your child live with you?" and "How many months?" He was at college from Aug-Dec. but we supported him there and he came home frequent.

If your child is away at college, the IRS considers this a temporary absence.

You can indicate that your child lived with you for the whole year in the dependent section.
