If you are using TurboTax Online, try importing using a different browser.

I am having the same problem, I contacted TT & they said that I should input it myself, then they hung up on me.  I purchased the premier version so I would not have to do this.  Poor customer service.

I'm having the same problem in Feb 2026.  Support agent said try different browser, still didn't work.  Another agent said it is a known problem which they are working on.  No estimate as to when it might be fixed.  Suggested I enter manually.  Seriously?  Why would I buy TT just to enter this data manually. I've used TT for probably more than 20 years.  Worst experience ever.

To import successfully, you need a good connection.  Disable your anti-virus programs/VPN, set your browser LAN settings to 'allow', make sure your broker account settings allow 'third party access' or try using an incognito window.

Well that majorly sucks. I've imported every year w no problem. Now I'm supposed to disable all of my protections to do something that worked just fine before, or enter pages of investment transactions manually? This is exactly why I pay for TT in the first place.

I'm getting the screen that says "click Allow to proceed", but the button doesn't click, it's just flat.

Helpful TurboTax Articles:

If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.

To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings:

  1. Locate the View Site Information icon (the "tune" or "lock" icon) on the far left of your address bar, just before the URL.
  2. Find Local Network Access in the dropdown menu.
  3. Toggle the switch to ON.
  4. Refresh the page and attempt your import again.

What do I do when my data isn't imported into TurboTax Desktop even though it says successful import...

If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play:

  • Brokerage Delays: While most forms arrive by January 31, many brokerages delay Consolidated 1099s (like the 1099-B) until mid-February due to complex reporting requirements.
  • Availability: Your brokerage must specifically "release" the import file to TurboTax. If it isn’t ready, we recommend checking back.
  • Connection Blocks: Active VPNs or aggressive Anti-Virus software can occasionally block the import feature between your bank and TurboTax. Try disabling them temporarily or switching to a different browser.
