I already paid for Turbotax and have been printing fine for days and now I am being asked to pay AGAIN!

I paid for Turbotax online Feb 12,2025 for Turbotax Premium federal return (Online)

I've already been printing my federal return for days.

Today I logged in and tried to print but per the below screen I am being asked to pay again. Receipt shown below.

The only difference is I started my State return without paying but I don't want to  print my state return yet ! I only want to print my federal return which I already paid for.

WHY AM I BEING ASKED TO PAY AGAIN??

Try closing the program, clear your Cache and Cookies then try to print again.  This should resolve your issue, but post again if not.

@MarilynG1  I logged in using two other browsers (Firefox and Chrome) which I never use for turbotax but  I am still being prompted to pay when I want to print my already paid for federal tax return.

Is it possible I have to delete my state return (not payed for yet) to print my federal return?

When I click "Pay Now" it only prompts me to pay for the STATE return (not federal)

Why do I have to pay for state to print my federal return and is that the problem?

Yes, you won't be able to print your State Return if you haven't paid for it yet.

@MarilynG1  This is SO FRUSTRATING! I said many times in my post I can't print my FEDERAL return even though I paid for it!

@crash345u

You'd probably have to delete the state forms first....create the PDF....then restart them again later.

The PDF that TTX creates with the Online software, will contain the state forms automatically whenever the   state forms have been started.

How do I delete my state return in TurboTax Online?

@SteamTrain  Thank you for the link explaining how to delete state. I really don't understand why TT forces me to delete State in order to print Federal. I'm not even sure this is the reason I can no longer print Federal.

TT Online gives the option to print  State,Federal or Both once you pay for both. There is absolutely zero reason I should not still have the option to print Federal (already paid) but not State (started but not paid).
