How to treat RSUs from a company that is not my employer?

I'm in full-time employment, but I received stock (RSUs) from a company that is not my employer (specifically a company to whom my employer was contracting my services). I received a W-2 from my employer and a 1099-NEC for the RSUs from the company that is not my employer. How should this be treated for tax purposes? Can I include the 1099-NEC income in my 1040 box 1a? If so, how can I do this in TurboTax?

No, you cannot include the amount on the 1099-NEC with the Box 1 Income on your W-2. You cannot change the amounts reported on your W-2.  You will have to report the 1099-NEC as self-employment income.  It will be reported on Schedule C.  If you have any expenses related to the "self-employment" income you can deduct them on Schedule C.  Form more information on reporting a Form 1099-NEC, see the following TurboTax article:  How to File Taxes with IRS Form 1099-NEC
