How to transfer 2023 tax in pdf from iCloud to 2024 (desktop) on a different iMac?

We are first year snowbird in California to escape Washington State's long grey winter.  We are using a different iMac computer to transfer 2023 tax return from iCloud to 2024 (desktop).  We see the .pdf msg unsuccessful to transfer 2023 tax return!  What should we do?

you need the file with extension .tax2023 to do the transfer not the .pdf, do you have that in your iCloud?
