My 2023 tax return was rejected, so for this 2024 tax year, for me to receive my tax return I had to verify my identity with the IRS, to do that I need my 1040 series for the tax year of 2023. I have been trying to figure out how to receive my 1040 tax forum for an extremely long time now, when I talked to one of your representatives in the past they told me because my tax return for 2023 was rejected I would have to verify my id through the IRS, well I called the IRS and they stated they were confused as to why I was sent back their way when in fact the only way they can verify my identity is WITH the 1040 tax form… that they don’t have any access too… that I would have had to get from you guys…. Like a lot of people in the world I have a family and a lot of responsibilities so with that being said, I need someone who ACTUALLY knows what their talking about to answer me back please so I can move forward and receive the money I worked hard for .

When a return is rejected, it is not really filed. If you were not able to electronically file your 2023 return, you should have mailed it in. If you did not then you never filed a 2023 return. If this is the case, you should file your 2023 return.
You should also contact the Taxpayer Advocate Service. They should be able to assist if you have not been able to resolve your issue by contacting the IRS.
You can view, download, and print your tax returns going back up to 7 years if you filed with TurboTax by following the steps below:
If this is the first time you are logging into your account this year:
If you started your 2024 return already:
If your 2023 return was rejected when you tried to e-file it last year, then you should have fixed it and re-filed or you could have filed it by mail. It sounds like you did neither of those things. You can still file your 2023 return, but e-filing is closed for 2023, so the only way to file it now is by mail. You need to print it, sign it and date it in ink, and mail it to the IRS. If you did not pay your TurboTax fees, you will need to pay before you can print the returns.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
Get your 2023 return "under control" and then make another attempt to sort out the issues with your 2024 return. If the IRS is requiring you to verify your identity to get your 2024 refund, then you will have to take the time and make the efforts needed to do that, or you will never receive that refund.
