At this point, I don't know if anyone knows when...or even IF.....you might be able to import from Deductible Duck into the charity section.
Ask the Deductible Duck Moderator what he/she plans to do to implement and accomplish this....maybe a csv file???
Maybe sometime in February...maybe never.
Has TurboTax said anything about allowing imports? Regardless of whether the developer creates an output file, turbotax has to permit import.
Unless your donations of used personal property are more than $5000, there is no need to import the detailed donations. You can list groups in Turbotax. "January 15, 2025--Goodwill--used clothing and household items--value $100". Turbotax and the IRS don't need or care about the detailed list of how many shirts, how many pair of socks, etc. when you file your return. Print the detail list for your records in case of audit later.
If your donation of used items is more than $5000, you generally need a signed appraisal from a qualified appraiser and you should not be using ItsDeductible or its replacements.
I have charitable contributions of household items from different dates during 2025. No individual contribution is more than $5,000, but the sum of all contributions in 2025 is more than $5,000. For filing purposes, do I need to provide the IRS with an itemized list for each?
Now that “it’s deductible” is gone, is there any tool out there that will allow for a direct upload of charitable donation data (as it’s deductible did) into TurboTax?
Thanks
From Duck Deductible website...
Deductible Duck uses the standard TXF format for exporting our data from Deductible Duck into other tax software. Specifically, the TXF format is supported by TurboTax (Desktop editions), H&R Block, and TaxAct.
For more information about how to import your TXF file on TurboTax,
I saw in TurboTax Home and Business today when I clicked on the ? that this was displayed "COMING SOON: We’re working on a new tool to help you look up the fair market value of your item. We expect it to be ready soon, but you can file without it."
Re the import from Duck to Turbo seems to have a lot of ceveats and instructions. I went and did a quick trial on Mac Desktop, and indeed you can export TXF from Duck and import into Turbotax but it doesn't fully populate due to limitations in the TXF format apparently, the items will go into NEEDS REVIEW and you have to go through and edit each entry.
See here for more details https://deductibleduck.com/docs/how-to-guides/import-turbotax-win-mac-desktop/
I saw the help comment about a FMV tool also and asked one of the Intuit experts in the recent OBBB event but they had no information on it.
