How to enter ordinary dividends on Schedule B, Part II, line 5? There is no 1099-DIV for this entry.

I have received a Federal Information Income sheet regarding a Life Partners Position Holder Trust position and have been able to enter all items; except,  TOTAL ORDINARY DIVIDEND INCOME.  It instructs (ENTER ON FORM 1040, SCHEDULE B, PART II, LINE 5)

How do I enter the information on Line 5 in Part II of Schedule B?

Standing by,

David

How to enter ordinary dividends on Schedule B, Part II, line 5? There is no 1099-DIV for this entry.

You can enter it as if you have a 1099-DIV and report the income under ordinary dividends.  Scroll down to Interest and Dividends in the Personal Income section and click Start next to 1099-DIV.

All you have to enter is who (bank or broker) the dividends were received from and the amount in Box 1a.  Amounts in Box 1a (ordinary dividends) will be transferred to Schedule B, Part II, line 5.

You can then use  Forms Mode to verify your entry.
