That is correct. Keep in mind the IRS can require filing of delinquent tax returns for forever. There is no statute of limitations.

Submitted my fed and MD taxes on April 4th this year. The filings were approved and I owed money to both. Fed tax was pulled but nothing for MD yet. Not sure what to do.
