Solved: How long do I have to be married to file jointly?

I already filed my taxes jointly with my spouse. My wife says we spouse to be married for a financial year long to file jointly for that year. Is that correct? Did I make a mistake filing my taxes jointly?

This is exactly how it is working. I am amending a jointly filed tax return. But I can't do an e-file. I will print my return and send it with a check. And My spouse will file it as reguar tax return.
