There is no a section in Personal Info to enter an email address. An email address is also requited when you have completed your tax return. In the File section of the program on Step 3 your email address will be shown along with an entry you can make for a cell phone number to receive text messages.

I am having the same issue. When trying to complete my return. The software tells me to go back to personal info and it provides a link for it, to input my email address. I go through every question in the section and not one question about an email address. I can't file my return! How frustrating!
Hoping that the online version is similar enough to my download version of TT,
Go into Forms mode.
Find either 1040 Wks or Form 1040 and scroll to the bottom where the signatures are.
Fill in the line for the Email Address. You may need to do the same for the state modules.
TurboTax is currently working to resolve this issue. You can try to verify the email that you already have on file by following these steps. Go to the bottom left hand corner, and find "Intuit Account" then select it. Then go to "Sign-In and Security" and you will see the option to verify your email address or to enter your email.
When you get the verification email, you need to follow the link and login again.
