Why am I being asked for my email before I can checkout?

Some TurboTax Online customers may be experiencing an error when attempting to checkout.

At Step 1 of the File process, they're taken to an error screen that says, We Need More Information For Your Order. In the, What information am I missing? section, it says that the email is missing and redirects to the My Info section, but there isn't a location to enter an email.

We're working to resolve this issue. While we do, here's how you can fix it:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax and select Intuit Account from the left menu.
  2. Select Sign in & Security and check that both your email and phone number are verified.
    • If they're not, follow the steps to verify each.
  3. From the left menu again, select Personal Info and double-check that your name, date of birth, and address are filled in correctly.
  4. When you're done, resubmit your return.
