I have two W2s from same company as I'm a student and working in another state. My income is in a non-resident state. Do I enter both W2s in Turbo Tax. Both W2s show the same fed and state income. One shows no NY state taxes the other shows RI state taxes. NY is my resident state and RI is the state I work and go to school. How do I enter the two W2s from same company in Turbo Tax? It would double my income if I enter both.

It is not unusual to receive more than one W-2 when there is more than one state or local area to report. The paper version of W-2 forms is limited to one area per printed form, but the electronic version within TurboTax allows multiple state or local entries if needed.
The information reported on your multiple forms can be entered as
a single W-2 since it is from the same employer. Normally, one of the W-2 forms would report
information in Boxes 1 through 6 and then nothing would be reported in those
boxes on the additional forms that show the additional states. In your case, you only need to enter this information once and include an additional state row of information.
To enter this into your tax return, add additional rows to the state or local sections by clicking the blue “Add another row” link under the state or local section of the W-2 (for TurboTax online), or simply type the data in the second row on the screen (for TurboTax CD/downloaded versions). You can add as many rows as needed to enter all of your information.
To go back to the W-2 section of your return, use these steps:
To confirm your comment, yes, the state information that you enter will be carried to the appropriate state return.
