You enter the asset and answer the cost basis questions to populate the depreciation deduction.

for what purpose is the asset use for self -employed - gets enter on schedule c,  rental - schedule E, farm schedule f,  employee - forget it - employee expenses have been eliminated for 2018.   if a business with multi ownership - then your probably entering on wrong return
