Our condolences for your loss.
You may need to file by mail. But, check the My Info section of your turn and follow these steps:
If you are getting a refund, include Form 1310. While you can generate the form in TurboTax, it must be paper filed. This form explains to the IRS that the refund check must be issued to the personal representative for the deceased person. Since you are the surviving spouse, this is not necessarily required.
For more information, see: Can I file Form 1310 in TurboTax?

my reference # is [phone number removed]. Problem discussed and proposed fix are in place. Problem appears to still exist.
The tax filing correctly reflects that I am a widower, that my wife died on 02/14/2021, and her soc. sec. number as listed is correct. Also, according to IRS Pub. #559 I am not required to file a form #1310. I don't understand the reason given for the rejection of my tax filing. Please help resolve.
