I'm filing for 1041 for a Trust. The only income for the year is from 1099-DIV with $1,164 in Ordinary Dividends (Box 1a) with $1,079 in Qualified Dividends (Box 1b). What is the proper way to complete form 1041 with this information?

If you are using TurboTax Business, enter the figures as shown in the first screenshot below.
If you are entering the figures directly on Form 1041 (see second screenshot), then enter the figures as shown in the third screenshot if you are distributing all of the dividends to the beneficiaries.
If you are distributing none of the income (i.e., the trust is retaining the income and paying any tax due), then enter all of the qualified dividends on Line 2b(2) since they would be allocated to the trust.
