How do I check how much I get or owe already?

I'm not completely sure what "already" means, but if it means you are still in the preparation phase and using Online TurboTax, you can go to the left menu column to TAX TOOLS and expand, and in the submenu choose TOOLS.  In the Tools window choose "View Tax Summary".  That will give you some info, then for more detail while still on that Tax Summary screen, go over to left menu column and under Federal, choose Preview My 1040.
