How do I change my taxes back to basic instead of deluxe

You would have to clear your return and start it over to do that. 

You can clear your return in TurboTax by following these steps:

While working in the Federal Section of your TurboTax program:

  1. Tax Tools (on right menu bar)

  2. Tools

  3. Clear and Start Over

Should be no problem if you have not downloaded or installed a deluxe CD.  If you have not filed electronically yet.  Just uninstall the Deluxe and re install the basic tax ware.  Then start all over and complete your taxes.  The Deluxe will just allow you to e file up to 5 tax preparations per year for free.  It also just has a few other great items that you do not have to use.  Just chose what you want to work on and this should work.  Hope I helped you out here.  Also If you used Deluxe last year I am sure all the proper information will transfer if you only included basic taxes and nothing complicated.

@rickysnowden   That only a works if they bought the Desktop CD/Download program.  Most people who post here are using the Online web version which is totally different like this user.

I'm sorry if I offended you.  Please stay.  We want you to help.  I wasn't trying to be rude or mean but just to help you be more aware there is a completely different product/version out there.   You can tell on their post they were using the Online version.   It shows "Turbo Tax Online Deluxe" at the bottom.   Just trying to help you know what to look for on the posts.  Sort of how to read between the lines.
