How do i change my filing status back to filing single/separate

Which is it?  Single or Married Filing Separately?  Those are not the same.  If you were legally married at the end of 2018, your filing choices are Married Filing Jointly or Married Filing Separately.

To edit your Personal Info:

1. Open your tax return.
2. Click on “Take me to my return” button.
3. Click on “My Info” (left-hand column).
4. Edit your information.

it does not give me the option or ability to change the filing status?!?!

Click edit by your name.  Go through the screens.  It will ask if you were married in 2018.  If you say yes it will then ask if you want to file together with your spouse.  Say yes or no.  "no" means you will be filing married filing separately.
