I am traveling for work and using my work PC to complete my taxes. My company suddenly blocked the ability for the Intuitupdater.exe program to run. Now Turbotax will not start . There seems to be no option to skip the update on startup as Turbotax is set to to auto updates.
What happens if I were to go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intuit\Update Service v4 and delete Intuitupdater.exe ??

You might be able to bypass updating if you turn off your internet before opening the program. Also, for Windows, up in the top menu, you can set my "Updater Preferences" to "Always Ask" or more commonly set to "I don't have an internet connection" , and then I am not forced to update....and can manually force an update when I choose to do so. And then I can open my file(s) at any time with no forced upgrade.
Thanks tried turning off my Internet but that does not help. Still tried to update even though there is no Internet connection.
Re your suggestion to change my "updater preferences", I can't do that if i can't start TurboTax.
Please reach out to TurboTax Customer Support and request to speak to a tech support agent who can assist with this issue.
What is the TurboTax phone number?
