How can I satisfy the program which is insisting on more mortgage info from my 1098 which is issued by my co-op and has no info in those fields?

If my 1098 is for a mortgage held by my co-op and my interest paid is my share of the mortgage which I do not personally hold, how do I stop the program from insisting on info not on the form.

First, if necessary, delete any Form 1098 information you've input.  In TurboTax Online:

1. Open your return in TurboTax. (To do this, sign in to TurboTax, and select the Take me to my return button.)
2. In the left sidebar, select Tax Tools> Tools.
3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose to Delete a form.
4. Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet and follow the onscreen instructions.

Then, to input your data without a Form 1098, go to:

• Deductions & Credits, click Review/Edit
• Select Mortgage Interest & Refinancing
• Click Add 1098
• On the Let's import your tax info page, click Change how I enter my form
• There are two boxes. Do not select either
• Choose Type it in myself
• Continue with the interview
• On the Do any of these uncommon situations apply to your loan with [lender]? page, select the The seller is financing this loan and we didn't receive a 1098 button
• Enter your relevant information

Remember to also include any related real estate taxes when you itemize deductions.
