Can you please clarify what was the 1099-Misc form for and is it for 2020 or 2021?
Sorry, It's for 2021. I'm retired and the 1099 Misc form is from the company legal services plan benefit. It's not from self employment. I called the company and they said it's not a schedule C income but a Schedule 1.
Please follow the steps below to enter Form 1099-Misc for Non Schedule C Income:
I do not see the option for " Form 1099-Misc for Non Schedule C Income". PLEASE HELP
To enter other reportable income, on a 1099-MISC form, follow these steps:
The income will appear on Line 8 of Form 1040, not subject to Self-Employment Tax, but it will be subjected to ordinary income tax. You will need to delete this income from Schedule C if you already put it there.
