How can I download a tax return that is older than 7 years on TurboTax?

I'm looking for our 2017 tax return and it's just outside the 7 year window. Thanks!

TurboTax only retains the online tax returns for the past seven years, the same retention period as the IRS.

You may be able to get a transcript of the 2017 tax return at this IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/transcript-types-for-individuals-and-ways-to-order-them

In the meantime...download ALL the year's PDF files that you can get NOW.  So you won't be left scrambling in the future.

And back up the PDF files for each year on a USB flash drive (or print out the main filing forms) since computers do crash.
