How can I delete a form I don't need to file (specifically the Form 8615)?

To delete the Form 8615

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Tools

Click on Delete a form

Hi, thanks for your reply! I tried this but when I go to review all my forms before submitting, the website still shows me the form and the blanks I'm missing.

If the form re-generates after using Delete a form, that means that there is an entry in the software that needs to be removed or changed.

If this is the case, return back to the point in the software where the questions that populate the form are asked.

Please try the following steps if you are using TurboTax Online to see if the error message will clear:

• Go to Federal on the left side of the screen.
• Go to Wages & Income on the left side of the screen.
• Click Edit / Add to the right of IRA, 401(K), Pension Plan Withdrawals.
• At the screen Here's your 1099-R info, click Continue.
• Continue to the screen Did You take a 2020 Qualified Disaster Distribution.
• Remove all entries.  Unclick If this was a Coronavirus-related distribution reported in 2020.
• Click No You didn't have a 2020 Qualified Disaster Distribution.  Click Continue.
• Continue to the end of income.  Scroll down and click Done with Income.
• Run the Federal Review again to see if the error has cleared.

Go back to delete a Form

See if there is a Form 8615 Worksheet or a Form 8615 D Worksheet listed.  If so, delete these worksheets along with the Form 8615

If this does not remove the Kiddie Tax then go back to the section for the tax and remove any entries made

Click on Federal on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Wages & Income

Scroll down to Less Common Income

On Child's Income (under age 24) click the start or revisit button
