How do I delete Form 2210?

My return has been rejected twice even though there was a "fix" implemented today. I cannot manually delete the form. Nothing is working!!

How do I delete Form 2210?

I spoke to a TT representative, they confirmed it was an issue they knew about that they were working on.

How do I delete Form 2210?

Same issue here.  My return was rejected by Fed, but can't uncheck box A in part II, and can't delete the form.  No penalty owned, but can't get rid of these issues.  Resubmitted, but saw that form 2210 was still included, also with box A checked still, so it will get rejected again.  Very frustrating.  Online, Self-Employed version.
Update:  I tried the suggestion of removing the 2017 tax liability from the questions in the penalty section in "other tax situations", and was able to delete form 2210 after that!  I checked to make sure the form wasn't included in what I submitted, and just re-filed.  We'll see if it gets accepted.
Next Update:  Yes, Fed was accepted!

How do I delete Form 2210?

#metoo I'm using the online version and my federal return was rejected as described. I use Tax Tools -> Tools to delete 2210. Then I click through to e-file so I can view the return. Form 2210 is still there so I didn't resubmit.

How do I delete Form 2210?

I am having the same problem.  Form 2210 does not get deleted when you think you have deleted it.  I refiled thinking it was gone, but it's still there, so it will get rejected by the IRS again.  Frustrating.

How do I delete Form 2210?

Will call this morning unless someone else volunteers to report this problem.  I am guessing that someone already has called in.

How do I delete Form 2210?

Same here, my return was rejected. Form 2210 is included when it shouldn’t be. (I’m using TT online version for self-employed.)

How do I delete Form 2210?

Here's what  works  in the (Windows) Premier Desktop edition (assuming that you didn't need to complete form 2210 since your estimated tax payments were over 85% of tax liab).  Select form 2210.  Right click box II.A.  select override.  left click the check box and it should disappear.  After you save -- form 2210 should not appear on the list of forms (it has been deleted and should stay deleted).

Update - efile accepted.

How do I delete Form 2210?

Although I am getting a large refund, my return was rejected x 2 due to the same issue described above. I'll try myactuary's solution next.

How do I delete Form 2210?

Here's the solution that seems to have worked for me. I am using the online version. Go to the other tax situations section. Revisit the penalty section. Go through the questions. In the part where it pulls your info from last year (underpayment and AGI) zero out the numbers. This eliminated Form 2210 from my return. I just refiled so we'll see what happens.

How do I delete Form 2210?

Update: My premier desktop Mac version TurboTax wouldn't let me override IIA check box, so I checked box C at the top of the form, requesting that the IRS figure my non-penalty for me. Returns resubmitted... try #3.

How do I delete Form 2210?

Thanks frank, that worked for me. (Online version) Under other tax situation, underpayment penalty I set 2017 estimated tax to be 0. So no more under-payment and no more 2210. If we do not file it, IRS is going to estimate it anyway.
