I am having the same issue and one of the replies that has all of those options is not the case.
I have entered the proper email and password but they want to verify that it’s me and they even sent a code to my email which I put in properly but I still can’t receive a text because my phone number has changed. Then they wanted me to scan my ID which I did, but it has my old address on it because the DMV is barely open right now because of Covid, so I haven’t been able to go and change my address.
Needless to say it did not help. They could not verify me that way.
So, this is NOT something that is going to get done quickly, which is ridiculous because I gave them my Social Security number, I put the correct Password in and I verified the code through my email address, yet, since I cannot verify it through my old phone number I can’t get into my account.
I’ve been trying to get into my account for I don’t know 6 to 8 months or something now and I have had no luck whatsoever because I can’t seem to reach anyone... if anyone even works for these people at all.
I don’t know what’s going on but it should not be this difficult to change your phone number or to verify your account. They must know that people’s phone numbers change.
They have my social, my email verification, date of birth, what else could you possibly need?
It’s ridiculous.
I’m so fed up with it.
And now all of my tax records, that I absolutely need, are not accessible to me, which is infuriating.
I should not have to spend this much time trying to get to them. I don’t have this much time to spend.
This is not a Service anymore this is a nuisance.
Not sure where you are having issues ... the userID is usually NOT your email address. And TT doesn't ask for a copy of your ID. So start by calling TT support and go from there :

i am having the same exact issue. i put my correct username and password, i received the code by email, but last step of the authentication process to get into my account is to receive a code texted on my cellphone, but i changed number months ago, so now i am stuck because there is no other option if not to call the customer service. I put my email address, my SSN, my date of birth....what else do you need to be sure it's me?!
