It is my understanding that Free Edition includes some 1099-INTs. TurboTax indicated that I need to upgrade to premium version. I only have two 1099-INT forms totaled under $5,000. What are the criterias that trigger TurboTax to upgrade to premium version?

If you have more than $1500 on 1099INT's you have to upgrade; you cannot use the Free Edition.
Or—-Use this IRS site for other ways to file for free. There are 8 free software versions available from the IRS Free File site

If you have interest and/or dividends which total more than $1,500 then Schedule B must be used.
The Free edition does not support Schedule B. The Deluxe and Premium editions support Schedule B.
Thank you for the quick reply.
